Just a line to say I miss you;
sorry I can’t be with you,
but that I thought of you
this morning. Hope you’re OK.
It gets kind of lonely here...
only me, and a ‘seen-better-days’
five-string guitar. And that,
surfside, by the highway...
round San Luis Pass, Amaryllis
grow wild, or ‘Naked Ladies’
as the locals call them;
stiletto-heeled – unabashed
and unadorned. Willowy,
proud and regal. Incarnadine lips;
full, ripe – half-pouting, with only
a hint of what they conceal...
for the present, at least, had me
aching to fill my arms with them –
take them home, and impatiently,
wait for them to open; brazen,
brash, and ever so slightly, Rosy.

Your talent is really showcased in this poem, I agree with Ephraim this poem has lots of lovely layers. If I had to choose my favourite images I'd end up typing out the entire poem, so I'll leave that :)
