The dying spring flowers lend meaning to summer,
eternity is reigned in
so the sun can be felt
Autumn leaves twirl to a halt,
piling up memories of
weathers dark and light
then blown, scattering growth for a new
dawn
The seasoned path straightens
towards winter;
sunken boots leave
momentary traces of journeys taken,
the snaps of brittle twigs, twigs
echoing through empty trees
Wonder encircles wonder as
shoots emerge from nothingness,
their buds soon warm the
senses - dusting the mind, rooting the heart.
