Words From the Heart

You say sometimes you think we live on different planes
And sometimes I agree but-
You won’t talk to me about what makes you feel that way
It’s as if you think I have a spy glass to your heart
Or a crib sheet to your soul
So I can see what is going on there
But what I really wish is
That you would talk to me
Tell me what you are thinking
Please don’t give me castle-in-the-air words
Don’t wrap them up in shiny parcels with tinsel bows
My homespun heart can’t fathom that
Besides, who needs smoke and mirrors
When the simple truth will do?

Certainly a message here, LG and more than eloquently penned.

Ahh dear LGM. Beware of men
Ahh dear LGM.
Beware of men who speak behind "...smoke and mirrors..."
The "...the simple truth..." you seek will never appear.
