Missing Words

What happened to my writing?
I seemed to have lost the drive.
I know it comes in waves sometimes,
but mine has yet to arrive.

I’ve got plenty of ideas,
no problem with that.
My brain is functioning steadily,
imagination intact.

But there seems to be a diversion,
traffic is being redirected.
The delivery of creative goods,
has been affected.

I know you cannot force it,
perhaps its time for something new?
But I miss the company of the written word,
its presence is overdue.

Completely sympathise with you, alessandro! I had to chain myself to my desk tonight to get a poem properly drafted - first time in weeks. But writing about a lack of writing is always the best cure for a block ;-) Magic xxx

Sympathise with you Alessandro. I've written poems about the 'block' myself. I like this one - so at least something came of it. I find reading poetry helps as well.
