Man was born free in the kingdom of God,
The formation of social structure got his freedom curbed.
Social responsibilities and obligations tied him with a chain,
His carefree and wayward life didn’t remain.
Social structure gradually required a headman to control the group,
Many groups were controlled by a king and for kingship was staged many a coup.
Thus man became subjugate under muscle and money power,
The strong and powerful ruled over with merciless oppression to cower
The innocent and weak men, physically and mentally,
Man lost his freedom and was at the mercy of kings and rulers practically.
Kingdoms, countries and so called nations were formed,
The country weak in strength was invaded by the strong overlord.
This became the practice and tradition which man tolerated without grudge,
Because from the clutch of the ruler an inch he can not budge.
However there were exceptions among the kings and emperors,
Some of them were benevolent dictators,
Show looked after the welfare of their subjects with kindness and piety,
So men enjoyed some freedom due to the king’s attitude of humanity.
Many centuries passed by and men of independent thinking appeared in the scene,.
They propounded the theory of equity, equality, liberty, human dignity and participation keen,
In the societal affairs or the country’s administration, law and order,
Persons like Aristotle, Plato, Marx, Engels, Rousseau and Voltaire, talked of democracy, socialism, Marxism and Lenianism,
Great revolutions and civil wars took place in France, Russia, China, America to eliminate the rules of the Louis, Czars and dictators causing untold misery and antagonism.
Some imperialist countries had perpetuated colonialism in other countries and regions,
Exploiting and plundering their wealth enriching their own in billions.
Gandhi, Subhash fought against the colonial powers,.
To usher in an era of the human freedom and dignity in hours
Of doom and gloom in Indian subcontinent,
Till the people got back freedom they did not sit content.
Government of the people, by the people and for the people is the ultimate goal.
Freedom of speech, action and leading a decent life is cherished by all.
But right to freedom must be accompanied by duty, responsibility and accountability,.
It cannot be unbridled to cause harm to society

The worldly freedom has been so far depicted and delineated above for our readers,
If one reflects and contemplates, is it real freedom? One wonders!
Freedom to all or to a section or to one individual,
A reflection on definition will certainly worry all.
This freedom is temporary and transitory.
Where are Aristotle, Plato, Marx, Engels, Rousseau, Voltaire, Gandhi and Subhash after their struggle for freedom’s glory?
Ask the so called beneficiary about the benefit of such struggle and contribution by these freedom fighters,
As to his personal self he is still in bondage of a king or a leader or his family members.
Let us define our own freedom involving our aim of this human form,
Then only we try and long for it as our absolute freedom in real term.
Sages, saints and some religious scriptures tell about freedom of soul,
Chained and bound by mortal body, to get liberated it has one and the only goal.
Man’s only wish is to attain bliss and salvation
