Another week, with a bang,
Starts my conscious mind –
Heart resists, belief follows on,
Skipping, with daisy chain headdress,
Down the merry garden path.
Too many truths to tie my colours to;
Conflicting, rubbing together,
Starting fires in me.
Too many lies to step around;
Convictions fade –
A difference is not mine to be made.
No sooner had I dropped from the tree
Did I lay down my roots,
No further did I look in front of me,
A satisfaction guaranteed
To trap me, set my feet into the ground.
