Abandoned by my father, we survive.
With love tucked in my heart, I'm digging deep
Emancipated, Mother came alive,
and over troubled waters we both leap.
With loathing, I was glad to see him go.
Away from us whose rage he rent upon.
He slithered in the darkness; belly low.
Crass, spineless man believed that he had won.
To live by begging bowl shames only him.
For others see the man he really is.
Her love alone - it fills me to the brim,
and I shall want for nothing that is his.
The tainted blood that courses through my veins;
drip drains until no more of him remains.

this reads really well in
this reads really well in parts: only I'm at little confused as the 'rage' in line 6, i know what you mean, only its not clearly said.
:
and the couplet at the end, is emotional, and somewhat overused, and doesnt make sense. I know its credible to say it, I've felt like it too, only, there must be a new way to say how you feel - without being blood drained by the vampire -
go on give it another go.... its well worth it!
maisie Guess what? I'm still alive!
