Spider’s web
P K Routray
A spider web glistens with rays of morning sun,
the morning dew looks on it like diamond beads on a necklace beautifully spun.
This beauty of the web by thin silk thread from spider’s saliva,
can carry the weight of its creator and its preys in its villa
The web reminds and represents many a symbolic lessons of wisdom,
the spider demonstrates how to shun attachment by devouring its own created kingdom.
A spider’s body has a shape of “infinite” symbol,
symbolizing the possibilities of numerous solutions to any problem impending our path as a hurdle.
Out of its eight legs four represent winds of change,
the other four stand for directions on the medicine wheel of various aspects of human race from birth to old age.
The spider webs have given the concept of alphabet,
serving mankind in communication and being its unique asset
The beauty and power in the web stand for feminine power,
We all have this ability to weave our live like webs of petals of a flower.
From this creature of man’s fear and hate,
Man has to interoperate the symbolic message and his own beautifully tomorrow he has to dream and create.
