A RED RED NOSE

O Why have I got this red red nose
In the Summer month of June?
O Why do I ache and cough and sneeze?
Can’t speak, just wheeze in tune?
It’s so unfair, my bonnie lad,
That here in bed I lie;
Do you still love me, darling boy
With snotty schnoz, and watery eye?
With watery, bleary eye my Dear!
We should be out there in the sun.
I would still love YOU my Dear
If your nose too did run!
So off you go my darling love
Farewell then for a while
Don’t worry. I’ll be fine alone.
I thrive on self-denial.

Hello Linda,
Enjoyed this very much. But although the last two lines are good, the line I really liked is
'With snotty schnoz, and watery eye?
Great!
