Backward, I race through life
as trees and tunnels pass me by.
Reflections of souls with eyes closed,
reading, tapping to a different tune.
Time travelling in slow motion,
the heat of a stranger's breath
adds to the discomfort in the air.
Unaware of hopes & dreams,
we fall, together in our loneliness.
Droplets of rain & mist obscure the view
of a future that is already here.
We stop to collect more in our quest.
Smileless warriors clutching
onto their bags , brollies and fear.
Pages turn as the tapping in my head
grows louder & stronger.
"Is this a life or a ticket laden, ear plugged
journey to a final , inevitable stop? "
