The Angel of Liberty
By Natalia
- 1387 reads
The day of the flight
She soared into the clutches
Of the sky-
Her heart beating hard
Saved by the one
Who wanted her
Would she have known?
I wonder
With grace-
Did the movement take off
As many eyes as ears
In her bridge of wonders
Art thou the one who shall die?
Who shall be killed
Destroyed
Brutally murdered
Pray, tell me!
Are you that man
Who shall capture her
In his arms?
The poetry of her wings
The sound of her feet
The song of her heart
The beat of her soul
Tell me where to find her
And I shall
When she is touring
The snowy white mountains
I shall grasp her
And bring her to you
So you may have her
And destroy her dreams; her passion
Would she accept
To fly with you
Or would she rather
Roam free
I see her now
Her long tresses of golden ropes
That angel of liberty
Would you ruin that?
Or would you prefer the joy of her undaunted smile?
