The Bright Side
By petal
- 1409 reads
There are certain times,
When I get a feeling,
To break open the chains,
And set myself free!
I’m being compressed,
By the jamming walls,
Wanna dive into a well,
running infinitely long!
Thoughts flashed by,
To forget everything and flee!
Revive from this grief,
And squeal with glee!
How much more agony,
Can my shoulders bear?
Can’t take this anymore.
Life has been unfair!
Gloomy thoughts clouded,
Freezing my senses,
Cant smile anymore,
Just sick of pretenses!
Sun turned all grey,
Spreading darkness around,
“no ray of hope!”,
I screamed aloud!
Ever been in the same
Situation as mine?
If yes, nothing to worry,
That's perfectly fine!
So how do I resurrect,
From such a vapid state,
Am I a magician,
Invincible to fate?
Hell no! I'm nothing,
just a speck of dust!
In comparison to the strong ones,
Who were put to the toughest tests!
How painful, it must have been,
For the deaf, dumb and blind,
To cope with their disabilities,
Still sticking to the strong side!
For them, life’s a battle,
Every single day!
But yet, they don’t mumble,
And cry all the way!
So there is no use of pondering,
And feeling all numb!
No point in taking up,
Foolish fatal steps!
Bad times may come,
And vanish soon,
But life on earth,
is indeed a boon!
So smile, chin up,
And open your eyes wide,
Only then, can you visualise,
Life’s bright, beautiful side!
