No End in Sight

Charlie lives on the outskirts
of life
during which time he
hoards his collectables
today’s pop-plastic
with a six dollar return

just enough for a Mac burger
without the taxes.

Need a few more to complete
the transaction
but not today
too tired from checking out
each ravine and public
trash bin
a rest finally on the menu.

We had been Brighton Western Road,saw The Big Issue' lady,buy regularly, and bee in as well group told you previous homeless,etc get paid AbcTales used be heading on 'Street Lights' page. Thank you for your lovely comment. Sort of got mixed up and now thank you better late than never. Am still writing at age 77.
