I want to explore the wonders of the world
From the safety of my desk
To traverse the weathered paths
Of an electronic wilderness

To extend my hand
Into portals I cannot grasp
Feeling the palpitations
Of a heart beating nowhere fast

Watching the hands spin circles
To gain little and lose far less
Living ever within
My created nothingness
