I see a gentle mother within everything I see;
the way the trees embrace the birds within their boughs
and sunlit clouds look like a mother who is smiling tenderly
upon sweet Summer flowers with their suckling mouths
and I too am like an infant, standing underneath her skies
or lying down, pressed close against her beating breast,
small and helpless but with so much love and wonder in my eyes
for my heart too, within her branches, builds its nest.
