A WORLD OF LAUGHTER

oh children, please be careful
when you come to disneyland
stay right beside your parent
let them hold your little hand

i will tell you all the story
of a poor lad named marcel
and how his magic kingdom trip
became a living hell

the day began so merry
there was wondrous fun and joy
imagine the excitement
of this precious little boy

but then he noticed mickey
and away from dad, he strayed
then looked up in pure terror
at the error he had made

for unfamiliar faces
now the frightened boy espied
as unease turned to horror
young marcel sat down and cried

but he was soon discovered
by a member of the cast
who said it happened often
and they'd find his parents fast

he led him to a small room
and he told him with a wink
please help yourself to popcorn
and there's lemonade to drink

we'll find your errant parents
and you'll join them in due time
then continue your adventures
in this land that's so sublime

so marcel munched some popcorn
and he drank some lemonade
in time he grew quite sleepy
and upon the floor he laid

then he woke up rather startled
in a very different room
of loud and jarring music
and an ambiance of doom

his feet were firmly fastened
held by glue against the floor
a woman stood before him
in her hand, a music score

"you'll sing this song forever
and don't even think to gloat
or we will drag you backstage
and we'll cut your your little throat"

marcel began reciting
when she drew that horrid knife
and belted out those awful words
afraid he'd lose his life
