Is the grass greener ...? (IP)

Shortie said to Bean-pole,
‘I wish that I was tall!’
Bean-pole said to Shortie,
‘I’d rather be quite small!
I feel just so conspicuous,
up here above you all.’
‘But I’m forgotten, down-trodden,
and longing to be tall!’
‘Come have a piggy-back, sit high,
and feel the breeze and stares,
you’ll maybe understand how I
think I’d have fewer cares
if wandering round down there below
unnoticed, out of sight –
you privately can come and go
– I cannot, at my height.
So Shortie rose up near the sky
enjoying the attention,
but he descended by and by,
reviewed his situation:
frustrations too the Bean-Poles bear,
this visit short to share
his viewpoint, made him more aware –
it’s not all cool up there!

Hi Rhiannon
Hi Rhiannon
I like your little poem about short and tall people envying each other. It was just like that for my sister and me. She was 5'1" and I was 5'9" and we each thought the other had the better deal.
