when sleep unfolds in all of us
and eyelids slowly glide
there is no map into this nap
and no one there to guide
the land's of strange topography
mysterious in lines
the inner world that gets unfurled
is not of your designs
the tapestry's unraveling
you quickly lose the thread
as you've discerned the lesson, learned
it changes in your head
when you're upon this merry path
no patterns can you heed
your mental trials are cryptic files
that tell you what you need
your body may be fast asleep
but fast awake, your mind
and as you run into the sun
your shadow's left behind
you're just an actor on a stage
reality's divorced
so just dive in and take a spin
for dreams cannot be forced

I like this Alvin, though it's very different from your comical poems.

Hi alvin,
this made me think of my own dreams and the way
I feel about that special other world.
Great poem with something we can all relate too.
Jenny.
