I am flood –
I am life’s blood
running through
fields, streets
and towns

I cannot
be quashed
quelled
or abated;
I am –
regardless

I am keeper
I am thief
of souls

I am
where blue begins
and blue ends

I am tainted
by the salt
of a zillion tears...
and rising.

Hello Tina, At first, I wasn't sure where the infinite bit came in but eventually the penny dropped. I can be so dense at times. However, I thought the poem was excellent and I am always interested in the way you structure your poems and this worked well. Good luck in the competition. Moya

Hello Tina, I have a lot of catching up to do with your work and hopefully by the end of the month I will be more able to do so. At the moment I just drift on and off the site for little snacks but I want a three course meal. What I'm looking for are your Pentathlon entries. I intend to buy the book once I have got over the expense of Christmas but if one more book comes through the post I will be dead meat! Happy New Year to you and yours, Moya
