The craziest thing that I ever saw

The craziest thing that I ever saw,
Was a turtle, that was purple, from his head to his toe.
He was up doing cartwheels, hand stands & more.
He even played football as I kept the score.
He danced to the Samba, then flew a big kite,
It truly was an amazing sight.

It wasn't until he was climbing a tree,
That his face lit up as he noticed me.

Then he said With the biggest, most enormous grin,
Won't you please, come along and join in.

So together we played, in a park, in a field,
Then shared a banana & an orange that we peeled,
Before starting again, playing catch with a ball,
Crawling around, on the floor being ever so small.
We went for swim in an imaginary sea
Then pretended we were drinking the worlds finest tea

And finally he yawned with a stretch as he said,
It's now time for me to get off to bed.
You're welcome to stay, take a spot by the fire,
It's the coziest place for you to retire.
I said, thank you but no, though you're ever so kind,
I would rather go home if you really don't mind.
My bed is real cozy, when my mam tucks me in,
That's when the stories of adventures really begin.

Alladin, snow White, my Mam reads them all to me,
Until I am asleep dreaming that I am at sea.
Battling Pirates, wrestling a whale,
Riding along on the back of snail,
Flying along or surfing a cloud,
Tooting a horn that is ever so loud,
Drifting away until I sleep in my dream,
Afloat on a boat made of chololate Ice-cream.

One day you'll be welcome to come stop the night,
But for now my new friend, goodnight and sleep tight.
