The Bees
Oh, we plunder cotton thistle
and we liberate the rose
for wherever nectar glistens,
there we honey makers go.
God save our United Queendom;
hail our tiger coloured horde.
Our foremothers dwelt in Canaan;
Heaven’s hive is our reward.
The Flowers
We seduce the bar-bar bee
with all our perfume, paint and frills.
They hunger after golden nectar
so we let them drink their fill.
“Colonize” is their mad mantra.
We’re wise; patient; one with Earth;
we pollinize with the still anther;
we are the Brahmins of rebirth.
