like others, i procrastinate
in this, i'm not unique
don't put off till tomorrow
what will last another week

so often it will happen
that the time you have, galore
will wake you up at 3 A.M.
by pounding on the door

those days you spent at leisure
when you should have been at work
will drag you to the surface
like a fish hook's sudden jerk

my ducklings waddle everywhere
en masse, disorganized
this kind of thing will bite your butt
i finally realized

i need a sense of order
and i need more discipline
for life must have direction
if you ever hope to win

for life will order YOU
