Part One
MUSIC
Mozart belonged to a Masonic Lodge
Thought subversive, so he needed a dodge,
Composing great music that was his thing,
So he composed something fit for a king.
Helped by the Librettist Carlo Ponti,
He hoped his music would please royalty.
So he penned a march or was it a waltz,
Salierie, his friend, was yet to prove false.
Mozart never without a melody,
Had somehow put his life in jeopardy,
Sly Salierie had devised a plot,
That somehow would make sure he got the lot.
Though it would be difficult to conclude,
The rumour is, he doctored Mozart’s food.
Did Salierie murder the great man?
It seems odd when he was his biggest fan.

Liked the way you worked
Liked the way you worked this Moya. I know nothing about any of this, the only name I recognised was Mozart! But seems a bit of a mystery in rhyme.

I loved the way this poem
I loved the way this poem flowed, there is a strict rhyming pattern and it showed an interesting idea in just a few lines. I think you are a great writer.
