Blooms are brooms to sweep winter away;
brushes to paint the world bright and gay;
fairy wands that cast colourful spells;
Nature’s symphony of ringing bells;
stars of day to mirror those of night;
hands whose healing touch restores loves sight;
legions, that with petals and perfumes,
arrive each spring to save me from deep gloom
and, when I see them, my heart begins to bloom.
