I would lean,
perched precarious
on mossy oak bark,
overhang oblivious
to fast flow of river,
against the crook of
your redeeming embrace.
I would leap,
waltz winsome on
Spring sodden footpaths,
scatter sorrow
to sunburst undergrowths,
caught breathless by
your quickened heart.
I would sing,
tweet triumphant
through laughing breezes,
beckon blessing
for all our tomorrows,
a fresh birdsong
to seal love renewed.
