What's that? a Cat
A Cat with no tail?
yes, don't touch it dear
it's ever so fragile
it makes a purr and meowing sound
where's the owner mum?
they're nowhere to be found.
It lives in our car park
on the flower bed
with so many pretty flowers, ever so red.
I think it's got a disease
my husband spoke
yes maybe fleas
but I will treat it though
It's ever so pretty, a beautiful cat
just missing a few pounds.. of fat
if i took him to the vet
they would put him down
there's no box for "lost or found"
how can anyone be so cruel
this fantastic creature, is no harm at all
I shall be his new owner
I will name him Raul
that's the end to a story
about a Cat with no tail!

This is lovely Katie. A sweet and tender poem. The cat is lucky to have you care for him, you are just like your lovely mum taking in waifs and strays. Maybe I'll see him next week. A small typo - 'beautiful cat' not 'car'. Well done xx

Gentle, sensitive, caring. So the world's not all bad after all. A delicate poem that I enjoyed.

This little cat enchanted me
This little cat enchanted me - and I really am not one for animals. It is written with love.
