Fish and Chips (I P)

Wonderful day
in the golden sun
is playing around as I'm queuing
at the St Anne's Well Cafe
Babies in their high seats gurgling
to each other near the table I am sitting
girl's have the pink hats on
boys are all in blue
One little boy
is tapping with the spoon
to the tune of
Fly Me To The Moon
As I blow a kiss
one is staring hard at me
in my straw hat or miming
if saying I can do that
Mums and dads all having a chat!
eating their creamy cakes
regardless of putting on weight
children are licking their lips
just to have a taste
Mine was sitting on his behind
watching the bowls
I had given him a shout
no good his head is in the clouds
Lady Josephine passing by
asks to help me so kind
as I pull
my trolley along
Balancing my cake
and the other hand coffee
do I walk that bad
I have a cushion to sit on
No! Singing For Pleasure
yet for me,as my back is mending
after cleaning windows
and hoovering diligently
There is a bowls game on
table tennis to play
mine has gone to watch
as I eat my scrumptious lemon cake
With a lovely cappuccino
all I need maybe
'Tom Jones' to dance and
sing a Calypso
'Lulu' the white Scottie dog
no! not the singer
is sniffing at my feet
for any crumbs I dropped
I am so full up now
passing by the sand pit
a wooden cow
catches my eye
My pop! loved his fish n'chips
even though no teeth
he would chew it up
swallow it down now not alive
With his favourite beer
winkles he loved to
hook them out
all curly with a pin
They say fish is good for the brains
so I am thinking! thinking!
words to make this rhyme
got get back indoors again
We have a fish n'chip shop near
but mine has gone on a bus
get me a much larger piece
of cod or huss
Poor little fish on the plates
I wonder where they come from
a shake of pepper and pinch of salt
oh! my goodness I have eaten it all
Now I have sat down
wearing my T shirt
with a Flamingo on
bright pink fading in the sun
When I see fish on the wet slabs
it makes me feel so sad
to see their big eyes open wide
I want to sing
One,two,three,four,five
once I caught a fish alive
six,seven,eight,nine,ten
the I let him go again
Well-wisher do come to Brighton please
a walk on Brighton Pier
the restaurant there
serves fish n'chips
The 'Jazz' band plays 'swing'
watch the Dolphins race along
hope! your number wins
Try! karaoke many sing
Some think they are
Frank Sinatra a star
Or Elvis Presley
wiggling their hips
or just Vera Lynn Where Meet Again
There is everything for you
our daughter got married
then at The Royal Pavilion
hottest day of the year
Win! a toy by moving a crane
plop! the money in
guide it till it's over the object
scream! when it grabs it,if not
try! try! again
Now I have just read
the beautiful late princess 'Diana'
let Prince William,and Prince Harry
as boys eat fish n'chips
sitting on the pavement
Today was mean't to be
as both of us popped
into a charity shop
to give a couple of things
There to my great surprise
Was a coloured china plate
with Diana's beautiful
smiling face at me
Wearing her lovely crown
I picked it up
then put it down
but had to buy so cheap
Staff had said only been
in the shop less
than five minutes
how could I leave it there
We came from a big family
when could afford
loved chips served in a paper cone
doused in tomato sauce and salt
Walk all the way home
all comments please five minute wonder!

Julie, Can't b elieve this. Just yesterday put on forum about Wheatsheaf and asked if anyone knew how you were as i hadn't seen any of your postings. Then tonight this one came up. Not new posting. How strange
