OH

it is just two little letters
so i guess i should know better
than to let that little word
affect me so
but i always start assuming
that that little lady's fuming
when i hear my lovely woman utter "oh"
we'll be having conversation
of the friendliest persuasion
and i think i know a wisecrack
apropos
but it turns to stormy weather
and my skin dries up like leather
when i hear my lovely woman utter "oh"
oh, there's an O in Oklahoma
and an O in Omaha
there's an O there in Ohio
and of course, O Canada
many times that proclamation
has been bantered to and fro
but it always gives me shivers
when my woman utters "oh"
sometimes an exclamation
where a pause in thought may grow
but i find i'm thinking overtime
each time she utters "oh"
