He took my hand.

She took my hand.

He twirled me round.

I whirled around.

He danced.

She danced.

We danced together.

She danced.

He danced.

We danced together

and as we danced

we became one;

one soul ascending high above

and as they danced,

that couple below,

up to heaven

I soared.

No, a102866. The dancers become one.  "We became one, one soul ascending high above". It is that "one soul" that ascends. "We" becomes "I".   Glad you enjoyed it.
