By nature,

the vulture

was built and designed

to clear up

the clutter

lions leave behind.

 

They may not

be cultured

and they

may eat like slobs

but they’re just

nature’s dustbin men

doing their

jobs.

I really like the imagery here; the justification of what is initialy presumed to be savage and uncivilised. It's open-ended enough to be interpreted as a metaphor for numerous scenarios, and I like that in poetry. Kudos.

Thank you, Rhiannon. I saw a News report about Vultures being poisoned by poachers and I thought I should write a poem about Vultures but its far easier writing about pretty, cute animals like Badgers. Glad you enjoyed it.
