You can change the world, if you believe

if you don’t allow negative opinions to get in the way

or force you to abandon, what you hope to achieve

You can change the world, if you genuinely care

if you help others to see far beyond today

and help them, to take all the right steps to get there...

 

You can change the world, if you only knew

if you harness the power of your passion, your love

and you'll find the courage too, for all the things you need to do

You can change the world with a just your smile

a compliment, a kind deed, or the great words that you say

but when you feel you’re ready to change our world;

please promise to only do so, in your own, unique style!

I agree with this. 'the right steps to get there'. Did you write it with anyone in mind (child, niece, child of friend, maybe?).I am visiting a back-to-the-land community for a couple of days in December and taking part in the shared agriculture. One of the women there has a seven year old daughter and her father is there regularly. People live in yurts.    Elsie

Hi Elsie, no I wrote it in a general sense, as an inspirational poem..

Wow yurts are becoming very popular and they certainly are a practical alternative to high rises...
