THE LAND OF DENIAL

a man lived in a village
on an isolated isle
he really didn't talk much
and you never saw him smile
.
the town's name was DENIAL
full of people out of touch
they lived their lives in shadow
and would not acknowledge much
.
there was a far off coastline
you could see it from the beach
and sometimes people took a chance
to see if they could reach
.
sometimes the ocean got too rough
and they'd be halfway out
and turn their little boat around
in misery and doubt
.
but other times, they'd persevere
and go that extra mile
some people stayed forever
others, just a little while
.
this fellow in DENIAL
took a chance one summer day
he hopped into his boat
and took a trip across the bay
.
his journey was directed
by the angels up above
no longer in DENIAL
now that fellow is in LOVE

Nice tale! Sort of  reminds me of lines in a gospel song:     

'Michaels' boat is a freedom boat - Hallelujah

And all the people keep it afloat - Hallelu- u- jah! '          Elsie
