little planes

in blue biro ink

quick

waste no time on realism

or accuracy

just make it fast enough

to sweep me

over the mediterranean

to your laugh

and that bottle of vodka

separated from you only

by your resolve

to your gas mask and wheelchair

to your barking dog

we don't need a work of art

nothing that would hang

in a museum

or gallery

it just has to be

fast

with enough place

for one

we need no safe landing

no applause for a non existent pilot

I'll take turbulence

rough landings

skidding, sliding, crashing

in

to

you

over being here

alone.
