My Tsunami Girl.

She came in waves, and
Like a tsunami, hitting shore,
The devastation was the same.
I was bowled over,
Hit by a force I’d never
Felt before. My brain froze.
I was drowning in her wake,
Head spinning, I fought for breath,
“Hello” was all I could say.
Bang! It hit me again,
Her smile made my eyes sting
And my cheeks burn.
She spoke. I shook with fear.
Dirty Harry had his Magnum .44
Hard against my temple.
“Hi, what can I get you?”
My mouth dried and my tongue
Began to blow up like a balloon.
“Saveloy and chips please.”

Oh! Those embarrassing moments when we see someone we're attracted to and are lost for words.

My tongue used to grow to
My tongue used to grow to epic proportions over a local bar man. By the time I got to ordering, the voice was a distant pipsqueak.
What really tickles me about this, Jolono is that last line. All that adrenalin for a bloody Saveloy. You lead your readers astray shamelessly and that simple chipshop order made me identify with all the above in a heartbeat.
