we all are little gemstones
that are precious to behold
with many different layers
that will open and unfold
.
so deeply look at what's inside
to find just what you seek
the flaws within the diamond
will reflect a light, unique
.
they say some gems are perfect
and some people claim they are
but striving for this essence ?
it won't get you very far
.
the little quirks inside us
are the things that will define
the flaws within the diamond
will reflect a light, divine
.
if clarity is rigid
with no cracks to bend the view
the light will shine right through it
what a boring thing to do
.
the lovely deviations
are what make up me and you
the flaws within the diamond
will reflect a light that's true
.
i've written this for you, my love
you're beautiful to me
and i perceive the depths within
that others fail to see
.
and as i'm looking closer
there's such joyous things to view
the flaws within the diamond
will reflect the light that's you

This is very cleverly done again, Alvin, and something very beautiful about it (especially any flaws/individualisms!). We can all polish ourselves up, but not try to make ourselves lose our pesonality or oddities, or to be just sort of like the next person, or hide so much to have a pretence of perfection!
