Welcome Sunshine (IP)

Sun is bright, and hot and cheery
after wintry weather dreary;
triggers vitamin for bones,
shading skin to bronzing tones.
Extreme exposure isn’t brill,
too much sun can make you ill –
so, cover up and use your sun-creams
maybe avoid those high-noon sunbeams.
I love the sun, my eyes like shade,
pale-skinned however long I’ve stayed,
so in the sun I’d rather roam,
not loll upon a deck-chair, prone.

A brilliant take on the I.P.
A brilliant take on the I.P. Rhiannon. Yesterday it was almost hot enough to seek out that sun cream, but today, it's been tipping it down. Such is the British weather.

I enjoyed this Rhiannon. I liked the fun rhymes and the way you got the message of sun safety over.

Hi Rhiannon
Hi Rhiannon
this was fun to read
My husband had skin cancer - no doubt due to over exposing to the sun's rays - although the cancer he died of many years later was probably unrelated.
I love being in the sun, and it makes me feel so much happier, just absorbing its warmth and light. But I can't stand to sit in it for any length of time, but do try my best for at least a little tan each year.
