I'm Sorry to Bother You

To think I may not see you
It's a little hard to breathe
I cringe, the pain consumes my chest
My tired words, come out in heaves
I never chose to bother you
or maybe I'm confused
I hope my subtle pain concerns you...
But at the most you feel amused
It never crossed my mind to tell you
I need help! I'm growing cold!
'Cause broken souls won't catch a whole
And weak can't love the bold
So don't watch me while I wither
Since it's not your price to pay
I'll say "sorry to bother you"
And you'll calmly walk away
But if you'd paid attention
You would turn around and say
You think you're just an empty shell
But I'll prove you wrong someday

I'm late on reading this but, this is so good. I felt this poem in my stomach. This is great. Keep it up. Look at my poems and I'm sure you'll see why I like it.
