a half worn day
tried for colour, size,
embraced, discarded,
scattered by windows
nothing fits. The body
once again declined
to take the shape prescribed
by gym , hot yoga, schemes
of intakes undertaken.
but in this unwanted form
you seem ebullient, happy -
why change? -
in half drunk bars,
surrounded by approximations
of some desire
(the universal image
glimpsed, with companions
who might balk at excess,
seek a narrow mean -
not wait for acquaintance
with every crevice,
mound, want more)
redundant here,
and now
where everythings
constricing, overlarge..
or say a melody half scored
complete in incompleteness -
just choruses and high notes -
dead ends and broken edges
make the whole.
shapes shift, resize,
you move with grace
while time ticks,
is this your home?
you hurry for a train

Adld, this is the kind of shattering poem that you want to make people read, people everywhere, it's bold and persuasive and devastating.
