Hi Elsie
Hi Elsie
Wonderful evocative poem. And I must admit to having relatives who had those very experiences - including one great uncle who was murdered while he was in his boxcar.

Elsie, a very enlightening portrait of a fascinating person. Thanks for posting this. In November 2011 I attended a lecture on "The music and radical politics of Woody Guthrie" presented by Professor Will Kaufman and wrote a poem about the experience. Kind regards, Luigi.
