I Can Do What I Want!

I can listen to any music as long as I don’t let it control my thinking.

I can go any where as long as I don’t let negative things or people get in my way.

I can drink anything as long as I don’t let it control my life.

I can take any drug as long as I don’t let it become an addiction.

I can write anything as long as I don’t hold back my feelings.

I can eat anything as long as I don’t let it hurt my stomach.

I can read any book as long as I’m learning something from it.

I can go to church everyday as long as I don’t let these worldly things stop me.

I can publish my book as long as I put my all into it.

I can go back to school as long as I have a heart and motivating mind to go.

I can have friends as long as I don’t push them away.

I can talk as long as I learn how to communicate more.

I can listen as long as I have ears to listen.

I can walk as long as I’m walking by faith and not by site.

I can give a word as long as I don’t let the enemy take control of my thoughts.

I can enjoy life and have freedom as long as I don’t go into depression mode.

I can be successful in Network Marketing as long as I put my mind to it.

I can achieve my goals and dreams as long as I strive the best and keep going forth with them.

I can take a chance at anything as long as I don’t let fear stop me.

I can over come any obstacle as long as I don’t have a negative mindset towards it.

I can do anything that I want to.

Like it says in the bible “fear not”

Like Joyce Meyer says “Living Courageously”

Honestly you can’t reason in this fashion Taris: I can hang around in clubs and bars as long as I just drink water. I may buy a bottle of brandy because I’m over 18. Go out with the worst delinquent in school as long as I don’t get pregnant. Steal my dad’s car because I have a driver’s licence and so long as I don’t crash the car and come back with a full tank of petrol etc.

Of course you can have fun with your friends and enjoy yourself. There’s nothing wrong with happiness, to the contrary, and like they say, you’re only young once.

The best place for you is probably with church activities but there are other things too like a descent ballroom dance club or nature hikes, or charity things like community service with your friends, that can be a lot of fun. Much more fun than getting high or getting drunk and wasted. Rather listen to good rock music and go and watch a good movie with a friend. Why not find a part-time job for pocket money?

Good clean fun. You yourself know better than anyone else what is right and wrong for you. And you should learn and study and do well at school, this is the most important.

Don’t ever take unnecessary risks! You really shouldn’t experiment, especially with things you don’t know anything about. Paul says “ but test everything; hold fast what is good.” 1 Thess 5:21 (ESV) but I don’t think this was quite the idea. He goes on with “Abstain from every form of evil.”

Don’t throw your pearls to the swine.

I don't actually do all of these things. I just wrote this poem out of anger. I don't drink nor smoke "anymore" I'm already in a lot of church activities. It's not reflective of me as a whole. Thanks for your concern! Thanks for the advice. "Don't throw your pearls to the swine" I like that one saying.
