I play it through and play it through and through
All the while it breaks and breaks and keeps on breaking down
My head is filled with phone calls, plans and problems
Budgets, words that talk the talk
Straight-laced shoes and faces
Names I won’t remember
So I drink and play and try to picture
who I am
Remembering last night’s dream
So it goes
Words begin to roll and strings to bite
A fanning strum becomes me
Here, invisibly
I come to find myself
Eyes closed, existing in this space
Alone
I find my place among the stars

Different ways of losing
Different ways of losing ourselves - escaping into our music and living in dreams.
'Straight-laced shoes and faces
Names I won’t remember' - I like that.
Wistful poem.
