Weeds …

but focus your view
and see how attractive
the shape and the hue,
the markings and texture,
the details of structure
of each petal and leaf –
it’s beyond belief
to suggest
(even in jest)
that no Designer designed
such as these.

Hi Rhiannon
Hi Rhiannon
I'm glad you are championing the common weed - which I have loads of in my garden.
Glad you said it wasn't dandelion, as I would have guessed that. My husband loved dandelions, and refused to let me pull them out - even when their flowers were long gone. I have other weeds that I prefer, but still cannot look at one without thinking of him.

Some of the tiniest and
Some of the tiniest and prettiest flowers grow wild in lawns, and we miss them if we don't look - all as perfect as the planted ones, but generally unappreciated. You use your observations to highlight a creator in this neatly worded verse. Love the rhymes.
Enjoyed.

Hello Rhiannon,
Hello Rhiannon,
Yes I agree with Bee. Of course there is beauty in weeds. Someone once said weeds are just flowers in the wrong place. I too picked up on the reference to a creator. I think your faith informs everything you write and is probably your source of inspiration. Much enjoyed,
MOya
