Positivists And .....

In a world with SO many negativities, I wanted to remind myself of the many good things and people still left in our world, here I chose a few:-
Christina Nobel O.B.E. she helps poor kids and has written books about her experiences, she has made a difference in this world.
The Teacher who believed in my Son.
All those who visit people and children who are in Hospices.
For the R.S.P.C.A. and other Charities that help animals.
The Salvation Army – my Brother who is careful with his money, only gives to them, for he said, “When I had nothing, they helped me.”
My neighbours to the left and right of me, both different nationalities to me, yet the one on my right gave me again this year a wonderful Christ mas card “To wonderful neighbours, have a fantastic Christ mas” how fab is that, for to see them on the street, you or I would think if I didn’t know them, that they would be the last people on earth to send a Christ mas card! I kept the last one they gave me last year and I shall keep this one too; and incidentally both last year and this, it was only after they had given me their Christ mas card, did I then give them one back, as I didn’t want to offend them, but they clearly are not offended! I got them with one of Mary, Jesus and the Wise men on, might as well go all the way and not just with snow men and robins! For most Christ mas cards now have robins and snow men on!!
Then on Christ mas Day, my neighbour to the left of me knocked the door around 7pm and handed to me a part of a wonderful pink cake, he said, “It’s my Daughter’s first birthday today,” (he was as proud as Punch) I thanked him, and there was so much of it, there was plenty for us all! It’s good to have good neighbours not everyone is so fortunate.
We were skint this year, (nothing new) and decided to stop the servicing of our gas boiler for we just couldn’t afford it in June when the service was due, and then the inevitable happened! The Saturday before the 25th of December our boiler broke down! So we have no hot water or heating! It is freezing! A few days later, as we didn’t know what to do, my Cousin had asked me to visit ... I asked her if I could bring the wet clothes I’d washed that morning to use her dryer she said,”Yes of course,” it was while I was there that she told me about a project where I can get a free boiler, no catch! She made a phone call while I was there and I spoke with a man who is in charge of it he said, “We are closed now for the holiday and will reopen January 5th, he asked me some questions and where I lived and also said, “Yes, you qualify for a free boiler,” he tried to explain it to me, but I didn’t get it, how it can be free.... so in the mean time I have gone back to the ‘olden days’ of heating pots of water on the stove and with tons of steam chucking it in the bath all for 2-3” of water! The bathroom is colder than outside! The steam makes me cough! The condensation is not good for the house, but we have an aim and that is to get the ball rolling from the 5th of January. My Brother and his Wife have been gems, they too have said we can use their dryers to dry our washing, and I have done. Most days we have jacket potatoes, baked on a low rack low down in the oven on the lowest setting to warm the kitchen and the Living Room. Meghan has the tiny but expensive mobile radiator and when those I work with heard I had no heating sent round the fan heater for us! So Daniel has that in his bedroom. Paul is wearing 2 long johns under his trousers and lots of jumpers and me I am wrapped up to the nines! I can’t imagine been an Eskimo!
Happy New Year 2015 A.D.
