Sharing Stars
By Bee
- 3030 reads
Vale on vale, the diamanté night
winked out to the infinity
of perpetual heaven.
He saw himself over the sea, tearing
stars from the sky with his imaginary eyes,
and felt the dread weight
of another incredible ending.
There was Dawn, over there, pleading
with Late Evening,
just to be acknowledged
but only little lights appeared
to gladden the sad of his smile.
Open your mind, dear Night,
to the invisible miserable, waiting
and watching the very same heavens
but from the opposite view
and bestow a glad kiss
as impatient, she stifles her choir
with vaporous blankets to pacify
hearts at each end
of these romantic tragedies,
the characters, covetous, devious,
inevitably crying and loving the drama
of terminal vanity, as we die dreaming.

Great poem, Bee! Oh like so much the idea of perpetual heaven and dying dreaming.
This is leading me to: "perpetual heaven dreaming". Hmm, very touchy, Bee!

Intriguing poem, Bee
I like the idea of day and night as rivals, I've often thought about writing a piece on that theme myself, but never got around to it, but you have done a good job of it here.
