Two Years

TWO YEARS
isn't enough to watch her grow
into the woman I imagine she'll become.
The babe, a man I predict to be calm - attentive -
oh, to never see his great potential achieved...
Then she with the hair that billows in the wind
will dance backlit by the sun, unseen by me,
and the boy with the shimmering curls
will dazzle the world long after I'm gone.
The child with the cat-green eyes, born wise
before his time is young enough to forget me.
But somehow, I'll remember each of them by lingering
in their hope filled hearts for as long as I'm allowed.

Goose bumps!
Goose bumps!
So much to read into this, and the images are beautiful.
A great feeling of life and death about it.

I like the perspective here,
I like the perspective here, projecting into the future and considering the present, lots of layers, personal and distant at the same time. Good luck with the pamphlet!

another wonderful addition to
another wonderful addition to your collection. It feels a little like you're shaking a kaleidescope each time - telling us what you see

Hi Bee
Hi Bee
Beautifully said - and a lovely thought - " lingering in their hope filled hearts."
And think of all the people who have been touched and helped by your words over the years. Good luck with the pamphlet.

Hi, Bee. We're none of us
Hi, Bee. We're none of us guaranteed our tomorrows here. A privilege to have known them, and had an opportunity to pray for them. You have an obvious love for them, which they are aware of and will always remember, while they see you and beyond. Rhiannon

So poignant and touching..
So poignant and touching...some wonderful descriptions too with 'hair that billows in the wind will dance backlit by the sun' - that gave me both a vivid picture ...and those goosebumps
