Abuse me

I don't deserve you.

I'm afraid of you

But so in love with you.

You make me feel

Even if it's pain

I need you

Leave me

I'll beg you to stay

Kill me inside

I'm already dead

Revive me

I'd die for you

Just say the word.

 I hate every word - but hopefully, I'm meant to. Meant to understand how someone could feel so willing to lay themself open to disrespect in the name of a so called love. What the narrator feels isn't so much love as desperation not to be rejected, and will hopefully grow and look for a healthier option - love wise. If this is the point you are making, well done!

This one isn't related to my real life, I just know some people that have been in abusive relationships. I don't know exactly what message I want to send with this poem but if someone is in an abusive situation get out ASAP.
