2 : Antistrophe

With our harsh metallic language

written with our ones and zeros

we must admit to no more heroes

the florid phrase beyond our kenning

and arcane words outwith our remit.

The written world grows ever smaller

a broken line from muse to scribbler

Do you think that what you’re writing

with action verbs and deeds exciting

will bring you fame, deservéd fortune?

Will you beg for transfixed readers?

There’s nothing in your introspection,

your work is flaccid, void of meaning

your talent fails the least inspection.
