Birthdays And Butterflies

Birthdays are like a butterfly ,

they drift in as the years go by

in the garden of life we find

special moments in the sunshine

until we find our wings to fly

to the garden beyond the sky .

Lovely! Your poem is definitely suitable for lyrics the first thing I thought of is Dolly Parton's "Love is like a butterfly".

aye, birthdays do fly past, sometimes we don't even notice them, but every day is a birthday of sorts.
