I wish I had more time to rhyme

I wish I had more time to rhyme
It’s been an age
Since I’ve put words to page
Since I’ve had time to rhyme
Since my life
Has had the semblance of:
My Own.
It’s been a while
Since I’ve had time to style
To script
To create
To be
At one with poetry.
I miss the bliss
Of flow
Of truth
Of thrill
Of words
My soul
Loves to spill.
No design
Nothing clandestine
Just words
That need to escape
A better fate
Than daily prose
Lost to the moment
Permanently stolen.

not stolen, not lost, just
not stolen, not lost, just left to be picked up again. Poetry in waiting.

Sometimes a scribbled thought
Sometimes a scribbled thought worth working on its presentation, can be tucked in your bag and looked at later, or when in the train, added to, changed, and put away again for further meditation!?
I like the 'flow Of truth Of thrill Of words My soul Loves to spill'. I like the music of words and consonant patterns, as a framework for truth.

Hi again Shannan,
Hi again Shannan,
I know what you mean about wanting to find time to write rhyming poetry, but you've already done it here in this poem. I always figure when the time is right it will come to you.
Sometimes I have to force myself to write down a list of words, but over time they start to make sense.
Jenny.
