In A Resort

I was in a resort, verdant with indoor plants and grass here and there giving the feel of being in jungle. I was with my friends in this posh resort with solid wooden work done, for I’ve seen the tables and chairs were very modern and comfy.
Later our guide served us with some weird-looking stuff in small cups. He was in his late twenties, with a French beard, dressed in a white shirt and black trousers. The only thing which bothered me apart from his handsome looks were his eyes, they were blood-shot and constantly staring at us. I don’t know about others but I observed him, despite looking human he was total alien to me. And I reluctantly tasted the butter-like-batter thing served to us, but there wasn’t any particular taste to it. Just then I heard my friend telling me that the batter was made of curd and intestines...... Human intestines! I winced, and was about to puke when I noticed them grinning. Cheap joke, I thought to myself.
It was getting dark and we all decided to get some rest. Summoned our guide to show us our rooms, he was still staring as if he would eat us away at once. Me and my friend, we both ran first to get our rooms, I was exhausted and wanted to pounce onto the bed and my friend wanted a room with a nice view. It was a really long corridor and our guide directed us to go straight without taking any turns.
So it was me and my friend, who made fun of the dish, followed by the guide and rest of our gang. I walked groggily with my arm interlocked with my friend’s, we’ve walked quite a distance when I realized that everything around us was calm, I mean there was absolute eerie silence like no one existed except us. I looked back our friends were not in sight and the guide too. I elbowed my friend who was so engrossed in viewing the scenery. She wasn’t that tensed and suggested that we wait there till the guide shows up.
I don’t know why but right from the start I found that man sinister, a taciturn person who always answers in monosyllables.
“Where were you? You ought to show us the room first” my friend said aggrieved, when he finally arrived.
“YEAAH” he raised his voice and quickly started coming towards us. He was furious and was turning into a dark green color. His height decreased which made him look like a dwarf and in split second he transmogrified into a green squid, there were not just eight but ten or twelve tentacles protruding from his face. His mouth was of shark with the same blood-shot eyes. Overall it was like a square tribal-mask with sticky tentacles!
I stood there paralyzed, dumbstruck trying to comprehend the unfathomable situation in front of me. My friend pulled me hard enough and I came back to my sense and we started running, at the end of the corridor there was an in dependent room on the left side. My friend rushed inside to hide and I instead went backside of the room and hid under the bushes, the window of the room was on top of my head as I could see the window sill protruding. Those green tentacles came along the corridor and turned left, the room where my friend was and I slightly raised my head taking support of the window sill and peeked inside. My friend was crying and just for a second our gazes met, I signaled her to be calm and waited for him to go away. He stood on the threshold for a while and before locking the door he said:
“You guessed the dish right” and started to walk away just then I could hear a ringing sound. So clear to me it was and in no time I realized that it was my cell phone! I started rummaging through my pockets... I had to stop it else he would get to know my presence. I was trying hard.... very hard. I struggled and my eyes were wide open at once and I saw the alarm blaring beside me, switched it off but my heart was still throbbing and I sat upright gasping for breath, wiping the sweat beads formed on my forehead. It was 6’o clock in the morning.... I took a deep breath.
